1 Star Mis-advertised product
Annoyingly, AFTER I bought this cable–after it was confirmed, and shipped to me, and arrived, and I attempted to use it with my new iPhone 3G (only to get a “this device is not supported by iPhone” message and an alarmingly loud and persistent beeping from the iPhone) did the vendor change the item name and description to state that it is not compatible with the iPhone 3G. Yes, I get that NOW it says the correct information, but it was mis-advertised when I bought it. Grr.

Honestly, I was skeptical when I ordered this product, thinking no way would it work for as inexpensive as it was. Much to my surprise (and delight!) when I tried it out for the first time, it did exactly what it was supposed to do. This thing is great!
1 Star You get what you pay for
This thing cost me $0.42, but it was no bargain. If you use it to charge your iPod while you listen to it, your iPod will make a loud hissing sound. At least mine does. Maybe it’s broken, but the shipping costs so much more than the product, I’ll never know.
Go with a reliable brand.

We’ve had this for about 9 months now and it works great, hasn’t broken, hasn’t hurt the ipod, and cost almost nothing including shipping. I’d buy it again, but I don’t need to as this one is fine.

I love my new ipod 4th generation. It looks great and the sound quality is good. It is easier to use this ipod’s menu. It is awesome to play games on and my kids also love it. Both my 7 year-old and 11 year-old are begging for them. I do have some sympathy for those reviewers who are no longer able to charge using old devices. This is not an issue for me, as I am never more than a few feet away from a computer. The battery life could be better, expecially when using the games. Overall. 4 1/2*

4 Stars Generally pleased with my iPod
I recently purchased a new iPod nano 16 gb. I replaced my 2nd gen nano with this one. Overall, I am pleased, but there are a few negatives.
Pros:
stylish, thin
16 gb is plenty of space for my needs
small, lightweight
good sound
nice screen

Cons:
it’s so thin it feels like i’m about to break it
clicker wheel is kind of touchy and can sometimes be hard to scrool
you have to upgrade to a new version of iTunes which one of my two computers wouldn’t take (i had to put it on my laptop)

I got this to replace a 1’st gen Nano. This one is much cooler. Love the video and picture resolution. Easy to use, and less expensive thru Amazon than Apple. Color is a nice touch. Only downside is that the charger from my old Nano is not compatible with this one. This is a great product. I am still an iPod girl!

5 Stars Great item, with one drawback….
I love my Altec-Lansing speakers; the sound is fantastic for my needs. I’m no audiophile, but I do like great sound, and this works really well, with wonderful portability; The biggest drawback, though, is that, while it will play the new nano 4th generation, and iPod touch 2nd generation, it will not charge them, which to me is a huge drawback. If you have one of the previous generations of ipods and you’re going to stick with them, I’d recommend this; just beware of its limitations for the newest generations.

Not so good:
- Shiny finish that gets easily scratched
- It is no easy to find the subwoofer by Altec Lansing
I bought an Init Sports case for portable DVD players up to 10″. The fit is very tight but makes the unit extremely portable and protects it from getting scratched.
I forgot to add that in the long intervals when you don’t plan to carry around the equipment, the battery can be disconnected and still be kept in place. In this way the unit only works from the wall outlet and there is no risk in recharging the battery too many times too often.
The battery is easily accessed by two phillips screws.
5 Stars Great speakers at a reasonable price
Recently received this product, and have only used for a short while, but would highly recommend it. Since the price is now only $79.99, it’s definitely a good bargain - relative to other systems. I would rank the quality as high or higher than any iPod speakers I have heard/used.
Even with the volume at a low to moderate level the output is loud, clear and has decent range. Use in an office, or even a large room is possible. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money, but still want to enjoy sound quality I would recommend these Altec Lansing speakers. Great as a gift, or for yourself.

Nice feel and works well. FM Radio doesn’t get great reception in a car, but not suprised with no antennae. Note: the “charge screen” takes a minute to allow you to use it while its charging, but it does work after a minute. For the money, I haven’t seen anything yet that works better.

I have been looking and trying all sorts of MP3 players and on an impulse buy because I was tired of looking I settled on this one. I am extremely pleased with it. I like the FM radio aspect because I like to listen to certain things on it. For the money, it was the best purchase.

The product itself works well - no complaints. It is not obvious from the instructions how to set it up. I think it stinks that it does not come with a case. I paid $119 for the IPod and then I had to buy a case for another $35. This is stupid and cheap on the company’s part. Who uses this thing without a protective case? I use this while I am running and at the gym.
5 Stars It’s a Mega not a Nano
We’re an Apple family so you’ll understand why I like most if not all of Apple’s products, but let me tell you this, When I see the smile on my daughter’s face it means the world to me. The Ipod nano brings her that smile. I couldn’t possibly ask for more.
Technical side: It’s an Apple, so you’d expect I high quality and a reliable technology. Screen resolution is high enough to be easy on the eyes and the menu dial works like a turn wheel so you can navigate menus smoothly.
Don’t waste your money with anything else. I’ve been an Apple user since 97 and it never failed me ever.

I could not live without this, photos to show of my family, music videos that I love, music that sounds wonderful. Pod casts of everything that everyone seems to be producing. Being so small and having so many features makes it perfect for keeping it on your person all the time. I almost don’t won’t a Ipod touch, but I might just give in.
